Lars Japp Haslund

Group DPO, Nets

Lars Japp Haslund is Group DPO at Nets (among the top payment providers in Europe), and has previously been director and Head of Data Protection at Lundgrens (Danish lawfirm).

Lars has for many years worked as a lawyer i.a., as a senior lawyer at Bech-Bruun (one of the leading full-service law firms in Denmark), and advised Danish and international companies as well as public authorities on personal data law - including on the implementation of global compliance programs. Many of these projects are about getting companies and organizations ready for the GDPR,Regulation.

Lars Japp Haslund has previously been Global Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the ROCKWOOL Group and worked with e.g. implementation of Binding Corporate Rules (BCR). Lars is himself accredited in European Personal Data Law (CIPP / E) Privacy Program Management (CIPM) Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), and is a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) at IAPP.

For a number of years Lars Japp Haslund has worked as an in-house lawyer in international companies and has, among other things, advised on personal data, IT and marketing law, compliance programs and commercial contracts. He has also previously worked extensively with public law from a position in the central administration in Denmark and at the same time taught administrative law at the University of Copenhagen.

Lars has worked with many different parts of privacy and security law - including advising several companies on projects to get ready for the data protection regulation, datamapping, legal analyzes, implementation and auditing, advising 3 large global groups with headquarters in Denmark on the implementation of Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) and GDPR.

Furthermore he has adviced organizations and public authorities in Denmark and abroad regarding data privacy law, IT and media companies on data-driven marketing (Big Data) - including on group optimization of data basis for marketing.
